Eat Cambridge is an annual festival of food and drink created in 2013 with the aim of showing off our fabulous local independent producers to local food fans throughout the county of Cambridgeshire. The festival takes place in May and features a fortnight of fantastic local food and drink, a jam-packed two-week schedule of tasty fringe events and a huge food and drink fair at the Corn Exchange in the historic city of Cambridge.

May 23-24, 2015  Malton Food Lovers Festival

Malton, North Yorkshire, England

Malton Food Lovers Festival takes place in the streets of Yorkshire’s
Food Capital. While guests appearances are still to be confirmed,
two Festival Patrons have been announced: Prue Leith CBE and BBC chef
Valentine Warner. The festival has its 7th outing in 2015, and attracts
over 20,000 visitors to the Ryedale market town. Around 160 food and
drink stalls will sell the best produce, alongside tutored tasting
events, chef demonstrations, music, interviews, book signings, children’s
entertainment and more.  Entry to the Festival is free, with
ticketed events taking place throughout the two-day food celebration.
Attendance: 20,000.

 

May 27-28, 2015  The Suffolk Show

The best of Suffolk on show and a celebration of everything we love about our great county.  Get close up to some amazing animals.  Children’s farm, rare breeds, and best in Show.  The Suffolk Agricultural Association (SAA) is a registered charity that promotes agriculture and rural related industries through a year long diary of educational and social events. The Suffolk Show is the highlight of its year and involves more than 350 volunteer stewards at Trinity Park.

June 6, 2015  Forgotten Food Festival in Norfolk

The Forgotten Food programme is an important element of the work that
the Slow Food organisation in the UK and also throughout the rest
of the international Slow Food movement undertakes as part of its
work, and we in Slow Food Norwich and in East Anglia are pleased to
be working with the owners of the Fire Pit Camp in Wendling Norfolk
to hold the first major Forgotten Food Festival in England.
There are Forgotten foods in communities all over the UK, many types
of food that were once common place and known and eaten by local people
have in many cases have all but now nearly disappeared, In Norfolk
alone Forgotten foods currently include a large range of fish, shellfish,
beers, cheeses, breads, jams and meats.

June 6-7, 2015  The Harlow Festival
Harlow, Essex, England
Catering for all ages and generations the weekend’s content has been designed to bring the community together in a fun and educational way.  Featuring heavily within the Harlow Festival 2015 will be the launch of what we hope will become the annual Harlow Food & Drink Show.  This section of the event will be held within a dedicated enclosed area and contain in excess of 125 exhibitors consisting of local producers, breweries, cheese makers, cocktail ‘Flairs’, celebrity chef and bakers.  As well as produce for you to purchase and take home to enjoy there will be demonstrations taking place in our Cookery Demonstration area and talks, advice and cocktail demos from our Drinks Specialists in our Drink Theatre, throughout the whole weekend by some very well known bakers, chefs and cocktail makers.

June 13-14, 2015  Taste Artisan Food Festival
Chichester, West Sussex, England
Over 80 local, artisan food and drinks producers from the Sussex area showing and cooking up their wares! Free tastings and sampling as well as delicious street food stalls serving hot food to go – so come hungry! From local meats and cheeses to exotic street food using locally grown produce. Incredible wines from the heart of Sussex and real ales and ciders available from our festival bar.  A vintage village selling retro food and gifts, complete with vintage hair and make-up salon! Cooking demos, free kids cookery school, giant inflatables, weekend long entertainment from local bands, singers, musicians, street artists and local music and dance academies.  All set in the beautiful surroundings of Oaklands Park, Chichester, home of the world renowned Festival Theatre. Ample parking, great rail and bus links, boutique B&B’s and hotels – a great weekend event celebrating all things Sussex in the historic town of Chichester.

A highly popular summer show.  Classes include crafts, cattle and sheep.  There will be horse and pony competitions, vintage farm machinery, trade stalls offering locally made crafts and food, fairground rides, a bouncy castle and the Young Farmers’ ‘It’s a knockout’.  A great day out for all the family!
